Professional Background in Innovation and Marketing
Prior to founding Crunchmoms, Julie served as a global innovation and marketing leader for Arcadis, where she was part of the core global leadership team responsible for the company’s digital transformation. She led the industry’s first smart city program across the USA, Europe, Middle East, and Asia, working directly with senior executives on strategy, brand, digital innovation, and sustainability.
Julie also held roles at Mubadala, Edelman, and Ogilvy, supporting major technology, government, and corporate clients across digital, marketing, communications, and public relations. Her experience spans brand development, digital marketing, social media, corporate social responsibility, and strategic communications for multinational organizations.
Community Leadership and Ecosystem Engagement
Julie is an active member and speaker within the Middle East startup ecosystem and serves on the Advisory Board for the Standard Chartered Women in Tech Accelerator UAE, supporting early-stage, women-led tech startups. She was a Founding Team and Steering Committee Member for 2022 Female Angels, a movement aimed at increasing the number of female angel investors in MENA.
She also serves as Vice President of the Texas Exes UAE / Gulf Alumni Chapter and previously founded and led the Texas Exes Amsterdam Chapter. These roles highlight her dedication to alumni engagement, networking, and community building across international markets.
