Professional Experience Across Telecommunications and Finance
Before joining Ooredoo Kuwait, Abdulaziz Al-Babtain served as Chief Operation Officer at FASTtelco, where he increased profitability by optimizing sales and reducing overhead costs. He devised and deployed processes to boost long-term business success and initiated multiple business partnering models to strengthen operations.
As VP Consumer Sales at FASTtelco, he lifted annual sales revenues for Home Internet services from 1.2M KD to 2.4M KD by shifting market focus from DSL to GPON. He designed and launched several unique products on the FIX market, including eFAX, Aloo, and FASTgo, which were considered first comers in Kuwaiti SME and Consumer Markets.
His earlier experience includes roles at Boursa Kuwait, KMEFIC, and Kuwait Investment Company, where he led trading projects, managed online trading platforms, and improved IT department operations. At KMEFIC, he managed the Alawsat.com online trading platform with more than 50K clients and more than $500M AUM, trading across 8 regional markets along with the US.

Abdulaziz Al-Babtain holds a Bachelor of Science in MIS and Business Administration from Portland State University. He completed the Leadership Intensified Program (LDP) in Organizational Leadership at IMD and holds certifications in Executive Management from IMD and Executive Education from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
